Pakistan Launches National Youth Employment Policy to Create 1.5 million Jobs

Islamabad — The Government of Pakistan has unveiled its inaugural National Youth Employment Policy, aiming to generate 1.5 million jobs by 2026. The upcoming national budget will allocate Rs300 billion to the Prime Minister’s Youth Program and Agricultural and Youth Loan Schemes to support youth entrepreneurship and employment. Additionally, Rs160 billion will be dedicated to training young people in information technology and vocational skills.

The policy includes the expansion of the Punjab Endowment Fund to a national level, now termed the Pakistan Endowment Fund, to further support education and youth development. The Prime Minister’s Youth Digital Hub has already engaged 1.6 million individuals, providing access to scholarships, job listings, and digital resources.
