After a five-year suspension, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has resumed direct flights from Islamabad to Manchester, marking a significant milestone in restoring the airline’s global connectivity. The ban was lifted following a series of safety and licensing audits by European authorities. Officials say the resumption will strengthen business, tourism, and family travel between Pakistan and the UK. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also hinted at future routes to London and Birmingham as PIA works to rebuild its international reputation.
