Tareen Education Foundation to Provide Full Support for High-Performing Students to Pursue Higher Education Abroad: Jahangir Khan Tareen
Lahore (April 30, 2026): Jahangir Khan Tareen said that this is an important opportunity for students to learn graphic designing, web development, and other modern skills, where young people will have broad opportunities to progress in line with industry demand.
He expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a modern computer lab at Government Shuhada-e-APS Memorial Girls Model High School, Model Town Lahore. He said that the project has been completed at a cost of Rs. 10 million, while the Tareen Education Foundation will also bear the maintenance expenses for the next three years. He added that a solar system has also been installed in the lab to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply.
Jahangir Khan Tareen said that every child, whether rich or poor, has a fundamental right to quality education and equal opportunities. He said that real progress is only possible when children from middle-class and underprivileged families are provided the same facilities that are available to the privileged class.
He announced that if outstanding students secure admission to universities abroad, the Tareen Education Foundation will provide them with support, guidance, and possible facilities so that talented youth can bring pride to Pakistan at the global level.
Jahangir Khan Tareen further said that students are our future and equipping them with modern education and technology is the guarantee of a bright future for Pakistan.
Chief Executive Officer District Education Authority Tariq Mahmood thanked Jahangir Khan Tareen for providing quality educational facilities to students and said that his efforts to provide youth with modern and quality education are commendable.
Chief Executive Officer Tareen Education Foundation Akbar Khan said that with the support of Jahangir Khan Tareen, the establishment of computer labs and libraries is continuing in different districts, while the state-of-the-art IT institute TICER in Lodhran is also in the final stages of completion. He said that the completion of the Tareen Institute for Computer Education and Resources will make access to modern knowledge possible for the youth of South Punjab.
The ceremony was attended by various educational and social personalities, while representatives of the Tareen Education Foundation were also present.
