Tareen Education Foundation Inaugurates Modern Computer Lab at Government Islamia Graduate College, Civil Lines Lahore
LAHORE: A modern computer lab established by the Tareen Education Foundation at Government Islamia Graduate College, Civil Lines, Lahore, was inaugurated by Ali Khan Tareen. The computer lab was established at a cost of PKR 10 million.
Following the inauguration, Ali Khan Tareen interacted with students and responded to their questions. Speaking on the occasion, he said that modern education is a essential for national development and progress. “We need to facilitate the younger generation and provide them with the necessary opportunities and facilities so that their potential can be utilized to the fullest,” he said.
He said that IT education has become increasingly significant in the modern era. Familiarity with modern technology can create better employment opportunities for young people while also contributing significantly to the growth of the national economy.
Responding to a question about sports, Ali Khan Tareen said that Pakistan needs to focus not only on cricket but also on football and other sports. He stressed the need to provide young people with adequate facilities and training opportunities so that they can compete at the international level and represent Pakistan effectively.
Responding to a question about the administrative structure, he emphasized the need for smaller administrative units for good governance. He said that devolving administrative powers to lower levels and ensuring equitable distribution of resources could help address public issues more effectively. Decentralization of power can also contribute to regional development and help reduce economic disparities.
Principal Government Islamia Graduate College Dr. Aurangzeb Niazi said that the government alone cannot solve all the challenges faced by society and requires the support of various institutions and resourceful individuals. He appreciated the efforts of the Tareen Education Foundation in the education sector and expressed his gratitude for its contribution to the college.
Chief Executive Officer Tareen Education Foundation Akbar Khan said that this is the 11th computer lab established by the Tareen Education Foundation in Lahore. He expressed hope that the students would make full use of the modern facility and further develop their skills in the field of information technology.
Director Colleges Ahsan Mukhtar thanked the Tareen Education Foundation for establishing the computer lab, saying that the facility would create new avenues for learning. He expressed hope that students would make full use of the lab to enhance their academic and technical skills.
